Meet Stephane Poggi, french designer of the interior with a passion for discovery and design.
Stéphane, could you share a few things about yourself with us?
I am French, 34 years old. I graduated from the French school and I'm an interior designer with used to love to change my environment and discover new things and new people.
How long have you lived in Indonesia, and what brought you here?
I landed in Indonesia in 2001. One of my friends needed help to manage its furniture factory that was oriented in the design of French style. After seven years of management, I decided to focus on my core business and created "Stephanoccelli Interior Design".
Do you store or hidden areas in Jakarta to find much on furniture or home accessories?
Kemang is the place to hunt for all sorts of things. But there are always new places to discover, depending on the project and the concepts we work. We must keep up and find new things all the time. Kemang is a great area because there is a lot of variety.
What is your decorating style of the signature, and how would you describe?
Personally, I do not focus on one style, but I try to avoid going to "a heavy American style." For the rest, I am open, because I have to absorb the needs of my clients to create customized concepts. The relationship and the time spent with clients helps me to build something unique in symbiosis with the client's soul.
What part of your job do you like the most and why?
I would say that the creation and customer relationships because both are related to me. When I meet new people, discover a new personality and new ways it opens your eyes to a new vision.

Wow, good question ... always longer than expected! But it takes time to create and coordinate everything to get the best result. I will say that it usually takes three months to a year.
What type of architecture are you personally attracted?
My goal is more about interior design, architecture, but personally, I like clean and functional buildings with a touch of futurism. One could say that the period "French Art Deco" corresponds quite well with me!
Are there buildings or particularly impressive spaces you met here in Indonesia that suit your aesthetic?
Maybe Monas ... just kidding! I'd colonial houses or authentic old Chinese temples. to see and understand how people lived before us is important. I think that culture, it is important to understand the past to be able to handle the future.
