there are about 17, and Brian Kenny Aldinger Nuri Suryatmi opened a small warung in a lonely street on the north side of Ubud. At that time, there were not many tourists on Bali and very few have made this side of town. I remember Brian recalling the days when they would sell two bottles of Sprite and wondered what in the world they were doing there.

Slowly locals and expats began to find Naughty Nuri's Warung and tell their friends until finally, Brian and Nuri built this little warung in one of the most popular restaurants on Bali and cultural institution of Ubud. Their martinis and ribs have become the stuff of legends, plus a few of them in disorder, and the word spread, people from all over Indonesia and around the world, not necessarily in that order, have begun to come up.

Brian has had many lives before this one on Bali. He bought and sold Ferraris and Porches, was a volunteer of the Peace Corps, was an avid photographer and a passionate traveler. During a trip to Indonesia, he went to Yogyakarta and there he met Nuri when she was still working as a guide and the rest, as they say, is history.

brain loved his family, he loved Bali and loved the life of a collector. Some might say, and I would think that it might be one of the best collectors on the planet. He brought countless people, many of us met for the first time on the square table, and brought so many laughs and smiles to people around him. If you never heard uttering the infamous line, "Hey buddy, there is not anything there ..." to passing tourists, we should also know that probably changed the life of that person and often reported the end of their holidays as they slipped into a seat in the Square Table.

As friends and family, brothers and sisters, we will all miss you Brian. We had such good times and shared so many laughs that I am absolutely sure that this is the way you want us to call you.

Nuri, Maggie and Tanti, your lives have been blessed and forever changed like many of ours. This is a sad time for all of us and our hearts go especially for you and the rest of the family of Brian and here in the States.

We all had the chance to know Kenny Brian Aldinger. You have been a friend, a brother and promoter more times than any of us can count. Thank you for all the good times. Oh what fun we had! We will miss you Brian but rest assured that you will live in our hearts, and most of our beer glasses, forever.

Thank you for all you have given us. Good journey to the afterlife.
